Assets Under Management — the total market value of all investments a fund or fund house manages.
Think of AUM as the total size of the pool of money the fund manager is responsible for.
Very small AUM can mean less stability; extremely large AUM in small/mid cap funds can make it harder for the manager to find enough good stocks to buy.
